This is a Christian First Nations conference that is open to all peoples who have a heart for what God is doing amongst First Nation's people. Our expression of worship will attempt to reflect the many Native North American traditions. Please feel free to wear regalia recognized in your territory, and also bring your drums and any other instruments, as we are here to honour our heritage unto the Lord. Our lead speakers will be wearing traditional regalia throughout the whole conference. We are excited to have powerful and prominent speakers, Cheryl Bear of the Carrier First Nations and Richard Twiss of the Lakota Sioux Tribe, coming to share in music, message and laughter over three days here in Nanaimo. The focus of the conference will be on pulling together in unity for the sake of bringing the message of love and healing to our peoples. This is our first conference hosted for First nations. We are excited to see the First Nation's expression of worship, dance, and singing restored to the people. We look forward to uniting together in one place in our Lord

Thursday March 4th will be a dessert and discussion night for leaders to ask questions and get to know our speakers in an intimate setting. This is an invitation only event and space is limited. If this would interest you we would like to extend you an invitation, but because we do not know all our leaders out there please call our office or email us at lisa@maranathachurch.ca to let us know in what capacity you are involved in leadership. We would like to give an opportunity to those who have any creative Native art etc. to sell your goods during the afternoon on Saturday. We are offering a limited amount of table on a first come, first serve basis so please send your request along with a description of your art (etc.) to lisa@maranathachurch.ca
